100 Days of Peaceful Events

8th June 2012

Peace car

During the 100 day period the Jimmy Mizen Foundation travelled around London in their peace car gathering signatures of support from celebrities and community leaders including Desmond Tutu, Bernard Hogan-Howe and  Labyrinth, as well as  visiting schools and pupil referral units. During these visits the Jimmy Mizen Foundation raised awareness about the consequences of violent crime and encouraged young people to organise peaceful activities for the 100 Days of Peaceful Events.

Youth United talk

Through Youth United the Jimmy Mizen foundation spoke to hundreds of Cadets, Scouts and Guides before the Jubilee celebrations. The foundation introduced 100 Days of Peaceful Events encouraging young people to engage with their communities by organising and taking part in positive activities.

Hundreds of Cadets, Scouts and Guides were rewarded with tickets to the Release the Peace concert organised by the Jimmy Mizen foundation to mark the final day of the 100 day period.
