Parish of Antrim have participated in a number of community and fundraising events. From creating and donating Christmas and Easter hampers to local charities to raising money in support of Thrombosis Trust, following one of their members losing a grandparent to this disease, the Parish of Antrim has made the community more aware of the work uniformed youth organisations do in the area.
Over the past two years, the unit has also participated in the Parish Bazaar, running a bake sale and volunteering in different roles throughout the day.
This particular unit is extremely dedicated to social action and it aims to participate in at least two social action activities a year, one around Christmas time and one coming up to summer time. The children take the lead on the organised events, with guidance and encouragement from Leaders, and work together in smaller units called Patrols to ensure that each event is well run and each member experiences a variety of roles within the Patrol.
