Who we are

Youth United is a network of the UK's largest and most established voluntary and volunteering youth organisations. Our vision is that every young person in the UK has the opportunity to be a member of one of our organisations.

We work together to:

  • Increase the number of adult volunteers supporting member organisations
  • Increase opportunities for young people to be viewed positively and as active citizens contributing to society

  • Attract funding and make better use of resources

The Tamar Manoukian Outdoor Centre at Dumfries House, in East Ayrshire, Scotland was opened on Friday 5th April by His Royal Highness The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, accompanied by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Communities Minister Don Foster sees new fire cadets put through their paces

8th February 2013

Communities Minister Don Foster visits one of the new fire cadet units in Manchester. The new fire cadet unit at Hollins Fire Station was funded by the Government's Supporting Inclusion Programme. During his visit Mr Foster presented the fire cadets with the keys to a decommissioned fire engine which has been donated from Greater Manchester Fire Services to the cadets.
